SpaceNavigator Support in PyMOL 2.1

Install additional packages for 3Dconnexion SpaceNavigator support.

MacOS

Install 3DxWare driver.

Attention: macOS 10.13 (High Sierra) users will need to manually enable the kernel extension! See instructions.

Windows

In conda environment or PyMOL command line:

pip install pywinusb spacenavigator

Linux

Install the spacenavd daemon and libspanv library on your system (requires root access). spacenavd must be running before PyMOL is launched.

sudo apt-get install libspnav0 spacenavd
sudo spacenavd -v -d

In conda environment or PyMOL command line:

pip install spnav
