MS Office Support for AxPyMOL

AxPyMOL and MS Office Must Match

If your MS Office is 32-bit then you need to install 32-bit AxPyMOL. If your MS Office is 64-bit you need to install 64-bit AxPyMOL.

Many people have 64-bit Windows installed but have 32-bit Office installed. The AxPyMOL installation should warn users of this mismatch, but before you download, check your version of MS Office, as shown below.

AxPyMOL is dependent on the MS Office component "Visual Basic for Applications"

This MS Office "Visual Basic for Applications" component is a default option in the Microsoft Office installation under "Office Shared Features".  However, if users uncheck this option, then AxPyMOL will not work.  To fix this, no need to uninstall anything, just "Change" the Office installation in "Programs and Features", click "Add or Remove Features", and select the "Visual Basic for Applications" under "Office Shared Features".  Then you can go back to Powerpoint and use AxPyMOL properly.
